Handmade Batik Print Head Accessories

Brooklyn born Maya Amina Lake recently released images of her resort collection featuring her signature fabric veritable dutch wax in beautiful hues and shades. The collection evidenced her knowledge in pairing different wax prints together to create harmony and no wonder stars like Rihanna, Fergie and Solange are clients of hers.

Saturday Outfit

I wore this to Temple Muse an upscale clothing store in Lagos for the debut of The Gatsby Collection by Kem Kem exclusively for the store. I decided to wear a cap as ive been influenced by Afghani men who wear their caps with everything. I also paired my Topman round collared shirt with my H&M grey pants. I copped my small frame bag from a roadside seller 3 weeks ago and its one of my fav items. My sandals are Clockhouse and my belt is Wrangler.

His 9 year old label has received loads of accolades and is one of the most reputable Nigerian Menswear brands. This collection features loads of patterns and fabrication includes, wool & cotton with sharp detailing.

Emmy Collins London @ Pitti Uomo 2010

Stand 130, Arsenale hall, Fortezza da Basso, Florence, Italy was where Nigerian born, London based designer Emmy Collins showed his eponymous label’s spring summer 2011 collection. Pitti Uomo usually serves as the opener to the men’s spring/summer fashion week and Emmy Collins London sure opened it up with panache.

The designer is known for his funky cuts and silhouettes that are not just art pieces but always wearable clothes that make it into the streets. This collection as always had an excellent mix of colors and from the close up shots you can see the impeccable finishing details. Good stuff once again from Emmy Collins.

EMMY COLLINS LONDON SS2011 Menswear Collection

London based designer of Nigerian descent Emmy Collins will be showing this collection for his eponymous label at Pitti Uomo Fashion Trade Show @ Stand 130, Arsenale Hall, Fortezza Da Basso, Florence, Italy, from the 25^th-28^th of June 2010.

Followers of his work with notice his signature wide lapels and unabashed use of color for his menswear. I also love the lines and the fabrication of this collection, great luxe vibe going on also.
