Duro Olowu Fall/Winter 2010

London based designer of Nigerian descent, Duro Olowu impressed me with this collection most especially for his use of color. The pieces are trendy and I got to commend the team of the stylist & photographer. They managed to create a stunning Lookbook; this should serve as a pointer to other designers. This is what your Lookbook should look like if you want people to look at it without getting a migraine :o)

I’m on Twitter.

  2. I'm very let down by this. Duro normally brings some subtle African references in his work but this has none whatsoever. This could easily be DKNY or any random New York designer's work. The London quirk is lacking. It feels a bit half-baked, more like a Pre-Fall collection than a main season Fall one. Oh well, better luck next time.

Constructive criticism is welcome as well as words of inspiration. Structure your point, no random bitching...
