ARISE L'Afrique-A-Porter A/W 10 Paris Fashion Week

South African designer David Tlale produced one of my favorite collections of the entire African designers who presented at the Arise African collective @ Paris Fashion week. His collection had structure, excellent cuts and incredible choice of fabrication which are very important in women’s fashion and style.

Nigerian designer Fati Asibelua [graduate of Institute Marangoni, London & Milan], the creative behind the brand MOMO which started in 2000 as a fabric boutique presented a collection filled with chic short dresses. It was kind of shocking from her not to add at least one maxi dress which is her staple item, but nonetheless I found the omission refreshing.

Nigerian Folake Folarin-Coker’s label Tiffany Amber presented sultry flowing silhouettes. Her fabric choice was chic and I also loved her use of color. The jumpsuit with harem bottoms was my favorite piece in the a/w10 collection. Images via Bella Naija

  5. Hey, thanks for your sweet comment :)

Wow I love how individual your blog is compared with some others I've seen - often they're all so similar it gets boring. So it's so great that yours is a bit different!
I've spoken to another Esper writer before - that's pretty cool. xx
